yeah I tried it, nice map editor but I'm disappointed with the big picture.

I posted on NS2 forums about how we haven't been given shit after the deadline for the 1.0 release.

Prefix, I don't see how you are going to achieve anything with that. Do you think its going to speed up the development? I'm pretty sure they are working as much as they can. In my opinion its just the usual whine which has filled the NS Forums lately.

But yeah I agree its going to be hard to make maps without any guidelines.
Get to the spaceship!

From what I know, making maps takes a long time... maybe just making rooms is a good start and you can balance the maps out later?.. just a thought ~_~

yes make a room for example a long corridor and then guess who will be in advantage
THE ONE FUCKING HIVE LEAPING SKULK OR THE MARINE WITH HIS GAY TASER.

I feel kind of fooled. I also believe that they work as much as they can, but the screenshots are proof for a "feelable" version of the game. You can see your fucking enemy you can shoot, you can do other stuff but they dont release this as the alpha of the game version... that makes me very angry. Especially when i remember NS1 Alpha which was even less what they have in NS2 RIGHT NOW.

NEVER PREORDER AGAIN. CAPITALISTIC FUCKERS FROM AMERICA!

Excellent. My plan is working. I told them not to give out much so the dick heads from NS1 get raged and cancel their game. Won't have to put up with their shit in NS2.

Negative feedback and unfounded criticism is always good for the development. In fact, without that there wouldn't be any development. Just look at Windows Vista and SP4; everyone's too busy picking on the new kid called Windows 7 that no one gives Ballmer's balls anymore! Next year every PC around the globe will be so completely obsolete that people can't even play solitaire.

rofl dux's fault, dux owned

i am a little disappointed too, but i think they dont want to release unready ns2 stuff, so ppl say "what a unbalanced bullshit has flayra done"...

but imo they have the liability to do release shit to work on...

The lmg has a 200 round clip.
Pistol has 50 clip.
Commander can play mini games in his hud.
Resource Towers take about 2000 bites to kill.
Comm chair can move.
Skulks have 100 / 50
Fades can hover permanently.

I dont really get why this surprises anyone. To me, the reason they relesed the editor early is quite simple. Mappers can get used to the software, so that when Charlie and co finnaly do sort out the game specifics theyll have an army of cheap help ready to do a bulk of the work for them. Its a very clever move that both lightens their work load AND fuels the community. Its a win win situation for both sides because everyone stands to gain something from it.

MAXX AKA MISTER OBVIOUS, well they will have an army of cheap helpers thats correct but I dont like the idea of 99999999 maps and 99999994 of them are shit, like it is now.
I think they should do the maps themselves and develop them to balance the teams.
