Hi, I think the NS2 rules need to be adjusted going into the future. I saw disconnects resulting in regames twice this week and I think it was denwo who said during the NE v NC game that the rule is under 2 minutes means you get a regame. This is a poor rule in my opinion. Lots can happen in two minutes, a team can reveal the strategy its worked on all week whether that be a quick hive drop or a chamber, a pressure team can get slaughtered twice, or a base rush could even be about to end the game. I don't think any team this past week did anything intentional but this rule is easily exploitable by any team who wishes going into the future. Want to test sending a 4 man rush at a hive node? Send it at no risk. If you get the node great, if you don't just pull the plug. Teams worried about disconnects need a 7th in the wings ready to join imo.

Usually .. that means in NS1 .. there was always at least one guy in the RR to maybe take his spot .. or is that just my imagination?
The guy is actually right ... there should be someone to join in case of a disconnect. And when the guy reconnects the change again.
And yes let him join for the first second so he gets the startres aswell .. whatever.

EissTee, ns2 is not like ns1..
First of all you can see weapons/lifeforms on the scoreboard from the readyroom in ns2.
Secondly you don't need to join up to get starting res.
OP, there is NO precise timing for regame on disconnects.
It's all up to the referee of the match to decide it.
Several factors are in play when deciding this;
Gametime, advantage/disadvantage from DC, etc.
It's 100% up to the referee to make the call or not.
If he sees that one team starts getting disconnects while they are already pushed way back, and on losing ground, he should not call the replay.
However, none of that was evident in any of the regames called by referees this week.
For example, your game against inversion, which was regamed because inversion had their first player down at 2mins, and 2nd at 3min. It was very even at the 2min mark, but they quickly got behind with only 5 players, and the 2nd disconnect closed the deal.
There is no precise time, because teams will exploit it if they know they can get a certain regame. That is why there are referees to decide.
Thank you for your thoughts, but this is the best way to go about it.
