In a wake of excellent gorging by turtsmcgurts I would like to give advice from the past how to handle that monster called gorge. In state of game where players are more worried about their accuracy % than result, more advanced plays often are just myths in NS folklore and fire focus on gorges seems to be one.

Focusing firepower to one lifeform at time is extreme useful against gorges especially. In common alien rush play gorge often start the rush. Gorge move toward marines blocking their shooting angles to other aliens and being annoying in general. Some people falsely advice to always ignore the gorge and just wait to skulks to attack. This is one way but better way is from very start to focus fire on the gorge. It takes only few bullets to kill or force the gorge away from coming battle, giving marines huge advantage. It's also good remember that killing a gorge in start is always useful even if you die doing it. Also focusing on gorge tend to make skulks to rush stupidly which you can use for your favour. Common mistake is trying to do everything half way that is only going to get you killed full way.

Archaea of course did that better than any team. Because Godar is making comeback lets show how you beat them: https://youtu.be/fkhT5fAnnvY?t=36m33s 36:33-36:54

Gorge's power is based on it's staying power. Gorge can dance around alien structures and heal him/herself. Forcing Gorge away from those structures or killing her/himself there is also skill of its own. But with good focus and positioning you can keep shooting angles for the skulk all the time. The trick is to position yourself the way you can shoot the gorge from different shooting angles. It takes only few seconds to get a gorge behind his/her nest if you know what you and your teammate is doing. Of course you can’t do this when aliens are making ambush there but when there is a opening there is no excuse if a gorge can hold marines more than 5 seconds.

Not the best video to show this but you get the idea, it's from the same match. This is good video also because it shows how that second gorge played safely and in that scenario you shoudn't focus on gorge: https://youtu.be/fkhT5fAnnvY?t=35m18s 35:18-35:33

Now go kill those fattys.

Considering that focus firing the gorge in every engagement is probably the best way to boost your accuracy %, this statement doesn't really make sense. Otherwise you bring up great points!
