First of all I'd like to see a reason for these bans, because just putting them up with some cryptic "reason" is really weak.

IF these bans are about what happened yesterday night, I'd like to point out that both Kelmops and me have apologized for stalling the game for an admittedly large amount of time. I also want to make clear that NONE of us, neither Kelmops, OneHit or me trolled intentionally, our team only couldn't decide on a comm - that's all.

And on top of all of this, nobody can tell why KingCovert was banned, because he wasn't even part of yesterday's last gather. Is this just some random admin abuse rage ban?

I can only repeat myself, I'm very sorry for what happened during this last round of this last gather yesterday, but come on, these bans are nowhere near justified

Kingcoverts ban was a different event, didn't have to do with what happened with you, kelmops and onehit last night.

There has also been a change in the ban policy. Since the "oh here have a warning" didn't work. and 1/2 day bans are pointless. If you break the rules you will just get banned, length is decided case by case. There wont be a change in the length of these bans.

But which rules did we break ffs? As admins YOU are the ones that are supposed to go for the peaceful resolving of situations like this. Instead, I feel kinda mocked by every fucking admin there is right now. I'm trying to go at this really easy, but it's honestly hard to not laugh my ass of because of these bans.

At least give out REASONS for bans THIS LONG, anything else is taking the last bit of seriousness away from the nsl

They were kinda being knobs last night, but the ban length seems kinda excessive. I mean really, I can't see there being any gathers with a bunch of the more active people being banned this long.

I get not just giving warnings seeing as that means pretty much shit all, but I think a couple days would make a lot more sense, seeing as AFAIK none except onehit have any previous bans or anything.

(also onehit is a special case cause he was born with issues, so you can't persecute him for that.)

LOL... what can you do Bauer? Admins arbitrarily changing the ban rules now. What are the conditions to receive a ban? Whatever we please. What are the parameters that determine the timeline of these bans? Whatever we please. You guys weren't kidding when you made a team called "Admin Abuse". Go look at any professional sports league, they have players associations that would be appealing bans of arbitrary length not based on precedent in a heart beat... Thanks to information from loMe, I already know that the grounds for my ban are a joke, but oh well... I wouldn't expect less from this admin team.

EDIT: We saw the same things with the bans on the Germans for not playing with Trademark.. Unprecedented bans. Its happening yet again, and now you are just going to make up a new ban system to suit your whims... I didn't agree with their actions, but everyone agreed 48h bans given the current ban system that was in place made no sense. Why even have a system you won't adhere to... Tell me how you guys aren't a joke.

It pisses me off massively when King rages hard at people, but if that's enough for a ban can we get the whole nsl on a week ban all at the same time so the gather dies for one week instead of forever?

Really the whole ban reasons aren't that crazy, but it's really fucking inconsistant and random here.

Its okay, the next time Herakles rages at someone for ignoring their teammates calls and doing something stupid (AKA: What Lyria did...) I hope he receives a ban of no less than 1 week... Oh but we all know that won't happen, you guys will be sucking him off for it probably.

Funny story, I wasn't actually raging at Lyria that gather, happened to be at Ryssk, who could have been the only person to report me... Since loMe has informed me it wasn't Lyria... This seems to be good evidence for a ban to me... Ryssk was baiting his team the entire gather, causing us to lose lifeforms attempting to assist him, get mad at him, he goes to admins with BS report... because I wasn't the person raging at Lyria (although I may have chimed in).

The reality of this is that Gathers have become a toxic environment where certain people feel like they can get away with anything. The admin team decided that we've had a enough of it because people have been turning away from Gathers because of this kind of behavior. How many nights have Gathers ended because someone yells at their teammates after losing, raging, belittling them so much that half of the people don't rejoin the next Gather? These recent bans are partially a statement for people that participate in Gathers that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated.

If you're reading this and wondering what happened to OneHit, Kelmops, and Bauer I will tell you. Last night after playing the first half of a Gather, we waited about 15 minutes for the next round to start. No one on their team wanted to command, so finally Bruno hopped in the hive but was immediately ejected by the three of them. At this point, Bruno said "well this 2nd half is not going to start," and left the server. He said he would come back if the gather would actually start, but still no one on the team would command. At this point we've been waiting 20 minutes to start the 2nd half, and some people on my team quit and wouldn't rejoin.

Is this the kind of behavior we want new players seeing when they try to play a Gather? In fact, one of the players on my team in that Gather is signed up for the Newcomers Tournament. How do we expect to expand and bring in new players when shit like this happens continuously? I'm sorry you guys think the bans are too harsh but you reached the tipping point with our frustrations and were the casualties. We tried curbing this kind of behavior in the past with warnings and being lenient but it evidently was not successful, so we're going to running a tighter ship.
