Installation:
simply place the mdl-files into your half-life/cstrike/models folder......the wav-files into ur half-life/cstrike/sound/weapons folder....

The other skins are as extra-zips in the zip-file..............simply replace with the half-life-model-viewer
the old textures with the new ones............

the skin-maps are in 2 versions, for example:
ratty1.bmp (this is for the v-model file)
ratty1sm.bmp (thats for the w model file...........sm are always the SMALL versions for the w file)

so no more talk, replace, and have a nice fraggin =)

What i did was took the Grenade Launcher version of the OICW that
$niper Chance released and messed it to match up the anims to the HMG.
The reload anim is far too fast for the HMG, so you'll end up being unable
to fire until about 2-3 seconds after the reload anim completes.

I also added 'HMG' on the side of the w model so it's easier to identify
the weap whilst on the ground. If you don't like it and happen to have the
GL version, just copy that and rename w_hmg.mdl

This model goes really well with the FAMAS that was released for the LMG.

This Commander HUD has been successfully tested on 1024x768 and up.  I can't guarantee it will work on lower resolutions.

--TO INSTALL--

Backup your original ns\sprites folder just in case (probably located in C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\ns\sprites).  Extract into your NS sprites directory:

  topdowntop.spr

For sprite artists: Recolors can be done easily by changing the 256 color to anything you want and recompiling using indexalpha.  I give full release permission to anyone who wants to tweak this HUD and release for general consumption.  All I ask is a credit in the readme to myself and Carbon14.

  topdownbottom_strip.spr

This sprite has a small area for the map location dialogue.  It's only good for 1024x768(barely) and up.  Use it if you like it.  Just rename to topdownbottom.spr and drop it in your sprites directory.
